Nothing is more challenging than the Pilates Mat work. Come strengthen, lengthen and align your body while learning the basic and progressed Mat exercises in this full-body workout. This class will ensure your practice of the ‘Basic 10’ while developing your skills to prepare for the flow and pace of the INT and ADV level Mat, as well as the skills necessary for understanding the Reformer and accessory studio apparatus.
Elevate your Mat skills to a higher level of detailed work and a larger repertoire of Pilates exercises. This class is often taught in the traditional order and with transitions at a moderate to quick pace. Be prepared to sweat in this deeply challenging, full-body workout experience.
For the experienced Pilates practitioner, this class incorporates flow, transitions and challenging Advanced Mat exercises in the Classical Pilates Mat repertoire. This class is taught at a pace that will keep you challenged. You’ll stretch, sweat and advance your Pilates Mat practice with this vigorous yet mindful full-body workout.
Learn the Basics of the Reformer Repertoire while improving posture, breath and function. This class is taught at a pace that allows you to integrate new movement information while still building strength and awareness. You’ll learn how to transition your settings and changes your springs as well as learn the names of the exercises.
You will learn how to work from your deepest layer of abdominal muscles, how to initiate movement from the center, and how to transition your Reformer and apparatus between exercises with flow. You must have a strong foundation in the Classical Pilates Beginning repertoire before taking the INT classes. This is also the level that the majority of the repertoire resides in and many will find themselves practicing at this level, while learning a few of the Advanced exercises.
This class is intended for the seasoned Pilates practitioner who knows the Classical Advanced Repertoire with transitions and is ready for the fast-paced, heart-pounding experience of intensely deep, focused and super challenging work. Instructor permission is required.
Check our class schedule for a full list of classes. We are always adding new classes into the mix.
Whether you are brand new to Pilates or have previously taken non-Classical Pilates classes elsewhere, we recommend Intro and Beginning Level classes to learn the basic exercises and movement skills involved. As a starting point, the Mat and Reformer are the basis of the system and the skills learned there will translate to the other studio apparatus. We offer a 4-week ‘START HERE’ Series that we schedule periodically, when we have a group of beginners who can commit to the series. Let us know if you have interest in the next offering.
Mixed level classes are open to all levels.
If you have previously studied Classical Pilates, you are welcome to explore our full class schedule at your appropriate level. Any ‘flow’ class assumes you already know the exercises and transitions and are maintaining a practice.
We’ve compiled lists of some of our special programming to guide you to specific classes built for each population
